The ultimate method for making easy work of setting and dousing your kite or chute is our ‘Spare-hand’ snuffer.
This sock is manufactured from lightweight, porus nylon with a separate sleeve for the control lines, to ensure snag-free use.
The bell or scoop is manufactured from propylex, a lightweight, durable and smooth plastic which won’t crack and damage your valuable sail.
To deploy your sail, simply attach the head of the sail (in it’s sock) to the wire strop which attaches to your spinnaker halyard, attach the tack to your stem fitting. Hoist the spare-hand and pull the control line to deploy the sail in a controlled and civillised manner.
The spare hand remains at the masthead during use, ready to douse the sail by easing the sheets and pulling on the control line.
It’s that easy !
This is essential for the short-handed or anyone that is nervous about down wind sail handling. Ideal for yachts from 18 feet and upwards.
